Well back from vacation after playing around with Tropical Storm Fay we finnaly made it to Florida. We had to let the back country settle down a few days but after that WOW. First I want to thank Steve at Florida Fishing Headquarters, as guides go he has top marks from me. The first day we hooked up so many fish I could not count, Sea Trout, Snook, Jack, Red fish and others. The first day Spencer and I caught some trophy trout my son was very excited. a Day later we targeted Snook, a good day is a few of these hard fighting fish we caught over 14 and Spencer landed a 6-7lber, on light line and a light rod what a thrill. If you are planning a trip to the keys you got to look Steve up, my family and I had such a great time with him. I rate guides on how well they react to changing conditions and are able to regroup, he did all that and more. Steve see you in May for the spawing Tarpoon, you are the mangy.

Ok report for Clear Lake, got out a little this evening and found some froggy fish. I was trowing the Tweedy Bird and hit 5 good fish up in the North End, top weight 6lb not bad. With limited time I headed up to the weeds off pf Tulle and McGraw threw one of the New Maverick 10" Stick baits and Bam nailed a 5 on a Carolina rig. Joe tipped me off to a paddle tail bite (speed worms) out in front of the weed lines and man they nailed that bait. I will have more info later this week as I get back to my daily stride. Ok new feature for Tackle It, we just added a wide screen computer monitor to the store so customers can watch the results of the weigh in live while shopping. We hope to have educational video's for fishing when there are no events running. Stop in and Take a look.
